With a traditional practice, a patient will usually have to go to the doctor’s office in person. In some cases, a telehealth visit may be available during regular office hours. With Virtual Primary Care, you can receive 24/7 care from a smartphone, tablet, or computer. We are open 7-days a week for appointments and available for texting when you need us. You do not need to battle traffic or sit in a waiting room. What’s more, with our virtual primary care you will get a FREE Welcome Kit that includes medical devices that will help you stay on top of your health.
Your primary care provider manages your day-to-day health needs and becomes your “medical home” - a place where you can build a relationship with your health care provider and seek medical advice for problems large and small. Your primary care provider cares for you through examinations, preventive health screens, chronic disease management, care for acute illnesses and more.
There will be times when in-person care is appropriate. For example, you may need in-person care for services like diagnostic testing, point-of-care testing, physicals, or even the removal of stitches. In cases like these, the Virtual Primary Care team will coordinate care for you at a convenient location in Newark. Additional costs apply to all in-person visits.
When your care requires urgent or emergency attention, your provider may recommend that you obtain care at an Urgent Care facility close to you, or the nearest emergency room.

Not only is your PDA your liaison to your provider, he or she is also a technology master that can trouble shoot any digital issues.
There are options to receive in-person care if the need arises. In a life-threatening situation, or upon direction from your care team, go to the Emergency Department. For urgent needs, your care team may direct you to a ChristianaCare-GoHealth Urgent Care Center.
