Dr. Sarah Schenck, Executive Director

Dr. Sarah Schenck currently serves as the Executive Director of the ChristianaCare Center for Virtual Health. As a seasoned primary care physician leader, she has a track record of driving successful clinical care transformations. Dr. Schenck's expertise lies in the delivery of comprehensive, patient-centered care in a collaborative team-based environment.

Under her leadership, ChristianaCare achieved the distinction of becoming the first health system in Delaware to earn accreditation as a multi-site, Patient-Centered Medical Home and one of the first health systems in the country to achieve accreditation for virtual primary care by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Dr Schenck leads ChristianaCare’s Hospital Care at Home program which won Program of the Year in 2023 by the Hospital at Home Users Group.  Furthermore, Dr. Schenck was instrumental during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, serving as Medical Director of the health system’s Virtual COVID Clinic. In addition, she developed and runs Delaware’s only Long COVID clinic, ChristianaCare’s Virtual COVID Recovery Clinic.

Dr. Schenck graduated from the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar. She earned her M.D. at Jefferson Medical College and completed her internship and residency training at Medical College of Virginia in Women’s Health/Internal Medicine. She started her career in medicine as Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School and today is Assistant Professor of Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College.

Sarah lives in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband, Vinay, and their four boys. 

Darrell Dow, Corporate Director of Digital Solutions and Analytics

With over 20 years of experience in digital solutions and analytics, Darrell Dow currently serves as the Corporate Director of Digital Solutions and Analytics at ChristianaCare. Known for expertise in data visualization, Darrell has driven significant advancements in virtual and digital health analytics with a strong focus on health equity measurement. At Wilmington University, he develops and teaches data and technology courses, shaping the next generation of health tech professionals. Darrell holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s in Integrated Health Management and his passion lies in leveraging data to drive innovation and improve healthcare outcomes.

Dr. Marshall Hawkins, Administrative Director

Dr. Marshall Hawkins is an accomplished Administrative Director at ChristianaCare’s Center for Virtual Health. Throughout more than 15 years of experience in healthcare, Dr. Hawkins has spearheaded critical projects and successfully managed the Center for Virtual Health Project Management Office (PMO). He brings extensive knowledge of clinical programs, operational efficiency, and strategic planning. Driven by a long-term strategic vision, Dr. Hawkins has consistently aligned organizational goals with strategic plans. Passionate about people-focused leadership, Dr. Hawkins champions inclusion and belonging, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Dr. Hawkins holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, combining academic rigor with practical expertise. Their commitment to excellence and compassionate leadership continues to make a significant impact in healthcare.

Greg Kasmer, Corporate Director, Business Operations

Greg Kasmer is the Corporate Director for the Center of Virtual Health (CVH). In this role, he is responsible for the operational performance of CVH, ensuring strategies and goals are developed and implemented in alignment with the overall vision for the digital health platform.  

Greg joined Christiana Care in 2024 and has over 20+ years of combined experience as a healthcare executive in management consulting, hospital administration, and medical group practice management. In his career he has used quantitative and qualitative skills to improve operational performance and lead teams to develop innovative programs and services to support organizational growth.  

Greg graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from Elizabethown College as well as a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in Health Services Administration (MHSA) from The University of Michigan. In 2021 he also obtained his Certificate in Business of Healthcare Specialization from The Wharton School. Greg is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and lives in Southeastern PA with his wife and three kids. He enjoys coaching sports, playing golf, and participating in triathlons and half marathons.

Kathryn Muther, Director of Nursing

Kathryn Muther (Katie) is a Registered Nurse with over twenty-five years of experience in patient care, nursing education, case management and leadership. Katie has worked in the hospital, outpatient, and insurance settings. She has a master’s in nursing administration and a certificate in the business of nursing from Johns Hopkins University.  As the Director Nursing, for the ChristianaCare’s Center for Virtual Health, she has helped to facilitate the implementation of Hospital Care at Home and virtual practices for primary and specialty care. In addition, she has worked in partnership to create the centers remote patient monitoring and transitions of care programs.

Dr. Bradley Sandella, Medical Director for Ambulatory Service

Bradley Sandella, D.O., MBA, is the Physician Executive for the Medical Subspecialty Service Line and Medical Director for Ambulatory Service in Center of Virtual Health at ChristianaCare.  In addition, Dr. Sandella serves the community clinically as a practicing Sports Medicine physician.

Since joining the ChristianaCare Medical Dental Staff in 2012, Dr. Sandella has held several leadership positions and made numerous contributions to the care of patients in Delaware.  Initially, he was named as the Director of Sports Medicine and Program Director for the Sports Medicine Fellowship, and subsequently became a team physician for the University of Delaware.  In 2018, he assumed the role of Service Line Lead for the Musculoskeletal Service line.  In addition, he has a faculty appointment as a clinical assistant professor at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College since April 2015. 

 Dr. Sandella earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006; he then completed his residency at Christiana Care Health System in 2009. In 2010, he completed a sports medicine fellowship at Sports Medicine Fellow of South Bend, a program of Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend, Indiana.Most recently, Dr. Sandella obtained a master’s in business administration from Auburn University in 2023.
